Researchers To Begin Trials Of Potential Alzheimer’s Treatment

The Boston Herald (1/14, Kalter) reports that researchers at Boston University “are testing a pill,” called T-817MA, “that could protect the brain against the ravages of Alzheimer’s disease.” Dr. Robert Stern, Boston University’s principal investigator for the trial, said, “The goal of this new medication going into clinical trials is really to try and slow down the advancement as well as trying to protect the cells that still exist.” NIH is funding a portion of the research.
